UIO Board responds to the BiH Prosecutor's Office: They reject Novalić's claims that the FBiH is losing 32 million KM

(Patria) - The Management Board of the Indirect Taxation Authority (UIO) at the request of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH commented at today's session on the allegations of the criminal complaint filed by the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, Fadil Novalić, against the Chairman of the Board, Vjekoslav Bevanda, and the Minister of Finance of the FBiH, Jelka Milićević.

We recall, the federal Prime Minister Fadil Novalić emphasized that due to the Decision on the temporary distribution of toll revenues for the construction of highways and the construction and reconstruction of other roads, which the Management Board of the Indirect Taxation Authority adopted in July 2018, the Federation of BiH is damaged by 32 million KM annually from tolls alone.

The UIO Board received a request from the Prosecutor's Office of BiH to comment on the circumstances of the adoption of the Decision on the temporary distribution of revenues from road tolls for highways, because in the criminal complaint of Prime Minister Novalić it is stated that ministers Bevanda and Milićević committed the criminal offense of abuse of position and authority during the adoption of this temporary decision.

"During the discussions at the session, it was established that the daily agenda during the adoption of the decision was adopted unanimously and that the decision was adopted in accordance with the Rules of Procedure and prescribed procedures, for which there are minutes with four votes 'in favor'. At today's session, the majority of votes adopted an opinion that will be submitted to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, as requested from this judicial institution by the Management Board," the UIO Board announced.
