Concrete conclusions were reached at the meeting regarding the actions of police structures in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the fight against terrorism, with an emphasis on the implementation of signed agreements between the Federal Police Administration and cantonal ministries of internal affairs.

The initiative to take over all obligations and joint activities related to European integration arising from the Stabilization and Association Agreement with the European Union was also supported.

Improving police work in the fight against all forms of crime, especially through the application of Article 38 of the Law on Internal Affairs of FBiH, which specifies the competencies of cantonal ministries of internal affairs and the Federal Police Administration in the mutual exchange of information and processing of criminal reports.

The report on the security situation in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the first quarter of 2015 was also discussed at the meeting, as well as security issues related to the functioning of the police structure in BiH and other current issues in the field of police work.

During the discussion on the security situation in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it was concluded that the security situation in the reporting period can be assessed as satisfactory, as there has been a decrease in the number of criminal offenses.

Minister Čampara emphasized that a stable security situation is a prerequisite for economic, political, and all other forms of development and prosperity of society, and that our society is daily faced with challenges and events that disrupt that security.

One such example is the terrorist attack on the police station in Zvornik, which warns that the fight against all forms of crime is a continuous process in which we must all cooperate and contribute to ensure a stable and secure environment for all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Special attention was paid to the application of the new Law on Internal Affairs, which, as a systemic law, is adapted to the competencies of FBiH in the area of internal affairs, and the Law on Police Officers of FBiH, which will soon be in parliamentary procedure.

The possibility was highlighted that cantonal ministries of internal affairs base their laws on internal affairs and laws on police officers on the principles of the federal law, which would enable the harmonization of laws while preserving their competencies and internal organization, it was announced from FMUP.
