UN: 500 Palestinians Killed in West Bank and East Jerusalem

(Patria) - The Israeli army and Israelis who usurped Palestinian territory since October 7, 2023, have killed more than 500 Palestinians in the West Bank and East Al-Quds (Jerusalem), a third of whom were children, the UN announced.

UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said that Israelis, who usurped Palestinian territories after October 7, carried out 940 attacks on Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and East Al-Quds.

According to him, during that period they killed more than 500 Palestinians, a third of whom were children, and more than 5,000 Palestinians were wounded.

Dujarric added that Israeli authorities confiscated or destroyed 900 Palestinian structures, 40 percent of which were homes where people lived, and that this displaced 2,000 people.

Citing information received from the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), Dujarric stated that Israeli attacks directly affected the distribution of aid by that agency in Rafah.

He shared the information that only 232 aid trucks were able to pass through the "Kerem Abu Salim" border crossing between May 28 and June 1, and that this is a significant decrease compared to the period before the Israeli attack on Rafah.
