
(Patria) - Venezuelan Juan Vicente Pérez Mora, the oldest man in the world according to the Guinness Book of Records, died at the age of 115, his family and authorities announced.
Juan Vicente Pérez Mora, who passed away yesterday, was officially declared the oldest man in the world on February 4, 2022, at the age of 112 years and 253 days.
Father of 11 children, in 2022 he had 41 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. He was a farmer, born in El Cobre on May 27, 1909, as the ninth child in a family of ten.
"At the age of five he began working with his father and brothers in agriculture and helped harvest sugar cane and coffee," it was written in the Guinness Book of Records after he was awarded the recognition.
