INSTEAD OF 42, FOUR MILLION KM FOR AGRICULTURE Farmers: When prices rise, turn to HDZ and the 'eight'

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The amendment adopted yesterday, which increased the federal budget for agriculture by 4 million KM instead of the promised and adopted 42 million by the Agriculture Committee, is nothing but a slap in the face to all farmers. In the most difficult year since the war, amidst inflation and rising prices, the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament did not comply with the law according to which allocations for agriculture should amount to at least 3 percent of the total budget. In the budget for 2023, support for farmers amounts to 2.44 percent, which is less than last year when it was 3.2 percent, according to the Association of Farmers of FBiH.

"The new majority promised that things would get better – and perhaps they will get better for their representatives and future ministers. Judging by yesterday's vote, things will get worse for farmers. Such an attitude towards agriculture will lead to an inevitable decline in production and cause a rise in the prices of agricultural products. When that happens, citizens should turn to the creators of such a perverted budget: HDZ, NiP, SDP, Naša stranka, SBiH, NES, PDA, Fuad Kasumović's BHI, and POMAK," stated the Association of Farmers of FBiH.

Farmers will inform the public about their next steps in the coming period.
