Street Justice: Mob Kidnapped Rapist from Prison and Executed Him

In India in the city of Dimapur, a violent mob of people broke into a prison and kidnapped a rapist, reports the Patria News Agency.

The mob then stripped him in the middle of the street and brutally beat him to death in front of a crowd of cheering people.

The murdered rapist allegedly raped a female student several times last month.

The man died in agony as the mob dragged him through the streets, while passers-by kicked and threw stones at him.

This horrific attack on a man not yet convicted of rape stemmed from public dissatisfaction with the increase in sexual crimes in India.

The murdered man was identified as a 35-year-old car salesman. He allegedly raped the student on February 24, and was arrested just a day later.

The mob broke down two security fences to reach the man, and afterwards, they set fire to houses and shops in the area where the suspect conducted his business – stated police superintendent Meren Jamir.

Horrific images are circulating online showing a naked, bloodied man with a punctured stomach, impaled on a fence, being filmed on mobile phones.
