The Festival of Children's Art (FEDU) will open on Tuesday, May 3rd at 11 AM at the Youth Theatre, where the first play of the Festival, "The Tinderbox" based on the work of H. C. Andersen, directed by Slavčo Malenov, produced by the Mostar Puppet Theatre, will be shown, reports the Patria News Agency.
On behalf of the Festival partners, the Municipality of Stari Grad and the Ministry of Culture and Sport of KS, the Festival will be opened by the Mayor of the Municipality, Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, and the Minister of Culture of KS, Mirvad Kurić.
Festival Director Fahrudin Kučuk will invite children and parents to respond to this only festival of art for children in our country, which also has a competitive character. In addition to theatre plays and concerts by musical choirs from BiH and the Region, at Trg Oslobođenja – Alija Izetbegović, everyone who comes will have the opportunity to participate in creative workshops by IMTM in music, dance, painting, sculpture…
The awards are monetary and will be presented at the closing ceremony. The Festival is held under the auspices of the Municipality of Stari Grad and the Ministry of Culture and Sport of KS.
