Ukrainian journalists in Sarajevo: Learning about BiH's peacebuilding experiences

A group of ten activists, journalists, representatives of humanitarian organizations and state institutions from Ukraine is staying in Sarajevo from January 18 to 25, reports the Patria news agency.

They are participating in a USAID training program in cooperation with World Learning ''Strengthening a Conflict-Sensitive Approach in Southern and Eastern Ukraine'', implemented in BiH by the Peace Academy Foundation.

During their stay in Sarajevo, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the experiences of the civil sector, media and other key actors in the field of peacebuilding and conflict transformation in BiH.

The goal of the program is to develop an approach sensitive to the causes of conflict, thereby strengthening efforts aimed at peace, reducing violence and changing the perception of the other as an enemy.

Among the guests from Ukraine will be representatives of organizations working on the protection of the rights of minority communities and vulnerable groups (people living with HIV, persons with disabilities), media, as well as local authorities from Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia.
