Ukrainian Minister of Defense claims: Wagner Group is destroyed

(Patria) - The paramilitary group Wagner has been destroyed, assessed Ukrainian Minister of Defense Oleksiy Reznikov, in an interview following the alleged death of its leader Yevgeny Prigozhin.

- Frankly speaking, the Wagner Group no longer exists as a serious unit, as it was a year ago. They have been destroyed - Reznikov assessed in an interview with the German weekly Welt am Sonntag, which is published on Sundays.

According to the Ukrainian minister, Prigozhin's alleged departure has weakened Russian President Vladimir Putin.

- This shows the world that Putin can no longer be trusted, if he made a deal with someone and then broke it - Reznikov added, as seen from excerpts of the interview published in advance.

After Prigozhin's alleged death in a plane crash in Russia, there are speculations about the possible involvement of the Kremlin in the crash of the private plane that was flying from Moscow to Saint Petersburg.

These claims were denied by the spokesperson for the Russian president, calling them a pure lie.
