Ukrainian army carried out its largest drone attack on Moscow to date

(Patria) - Ukraine launched one of the largest drone attacks on Moscow, and Russian air defense destroyed at least ten drones, said the mayor of Podolsk, a city located 38 kilometers south of the Russian capital.

- The air defense system continues to repel attacks by enemy aircraft. Some of them were destroyed over Podolsk. This is one of the largest attempts to attack Moscow with unmanned aerial vehicles. We are still monitoring the situation - wrote Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on Telegram.

According to initial information, there are no injured persons or reported damage, Sobyanin added.

In recent months, Ukraine has repeatedly sent one or two unmanned aerial vehicles towards Moscow, each time without significant damage.

However, this latest attack appears to be larger than the one in May last year, when at least eight unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed over the capital, to which Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Kyiv is trying to provoke and scare Russia.


Kyiv has intensified air attacks on Russian territory in recent months, but they emphasize that they are doing so to destroy key infrastructure necessary for the war effort. They also state that their attacks are a response to continuous Russian strikes on Ukrainian territory.
