Ukraine reports new Russian attacks

(Patria) - Ukrainian authorities announced that Russian forces shelled several regions during the night into Saturday. In the southern city of Zaporizhzhia, near the front lines, infrastructure was hit and explosions were heard. Governor Oleh Starukh warned people to stay in shelters. Local authorities announced that five enemy drones were destroyed over the neighboring Dnipropetrovsk region.

More than 50 shells from multiple rocket launchers and heavy artillery hit the Nikopol district in the same region, injuring at least two people. Shortly after 7 AM, an air raid alert was declared for all of Ukraine due to fears of further attacks.

Ukrainian forces say they destroyed seven targets in the sky during the night. They also claim to have destroyed one Iranian Shahed-136 kamikaze drone in the south of the country. Furthermore, one military helicopter was destroyed. In the east, they added, five more Iranian Shahed-136 kamikaze drones were destroyed.
