(Patria) - In the Ukrainian attack on Russian Belgorod, 14 people were killed and 108 injured, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations announced today.
"12 adults and two children were killed. Another 108 people were injured, including 15 children," the ministry stated.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that 39 people were killed in yesterday's massive Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities.
The Belgorod region, near the Ukrainian border, has previously been targeted by shelling and drone attacks from Ukraine. Kyiv rarely claims responsibility for these attacks. Ukraine has not officially commented on Saturday's attacks either, but the RBC-Ukraine media outlet cited sources saying that Ukraine targeted military targets in Belgorod in response to Russia's bombing the day before.
Moscow carried out its largest air attack since the beginning of the invasion in February 2022 on Friday. Kyiv announced that 31 civilians were killed and more than 160 injured in the process.
