SARAJEVO/MOSTAR, (Patria) - Director of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs Slobodan Ujić in a conversation with the Patria news agency confirmed that the convoy with migrants was stopped in Konjic. He said that this shocked the authorities who prepared the action to move migrants from Sarajevo to the Salakovac refugee camp.
- We had been operationally preparing this action for two days together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton, and everything was done perfectly, down to the last detail. I am truly shocked, and I don't know what this stopping means – Ujić said.
He emphasized that inspectors from the Service for Foreigners' Affairs are on site and were escorting the buses.
- I am reporting everything to the Minister of Security of BiH, and we are monitoring the situation. We have no information on who ordered the buses to be stopped – Ujić added.
The convoy with refugees must leave the HNK area, and if they do not, they were told that the Special Unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs would intervene. However, there is no confirmation yet as to why this was done.
