UIO: Indirect tax revenues up by one billion and 194 million KM

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Indirect tax revenues in the period January-September 2022 amounted to 7 billion and 350 million KM, an increase of one billion and 194 million KM or 19.40% compared to the same period in 2021, when they amounted to 6 billion and 156 million KM.

In September 2022 alone, 913 million KM of indirect taxes were collected, which is 121 million KM more than in September 2021.

REVENUE ALLOCATION IN JANUARY - SEPTEMBER 2022

After the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina (UIO) returned one billion and 540 million KM to the economy based on VAT refunds, the net collected revenues allocated to beneficiaries in the period January-September 2022, namely the state, entities, and Brčko District, amounted to 5 billion and 810 million KM, an increase of 758 million KM compared to the revenues received by beneficiaries from the Single Account for the same period in 2021.

An amount of 647 million KM was allocated for financing state institutions in the period January-September 2022. The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina received 3 billion and 173 million KM in the first nine months of 2022, Republika Srpska received one billion and 770 million KM, and Brčko District received 177 million KM.

The table below shows the total funds allocated to entities and Brčko District of BiH, including the corresponding external debt, in the period January-September 2022, compared to the same period last year. All amounts are expressed in millions of KM.

In addition to the allocated revenues in the table above, based on special road tolls for highway construction and the construction and reconstruction of other roads (0.25 KM), the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina received an additional 156 million KM, Republika Srpska received 103 million KM, and Brčko District received 5.3 million KM. The difference represents a reserve in a special road toll account of 0.25 KM.
