UIO after arrest of its official: We support the work of the BiH Prosecutor's Office

The Indirect Taxation Authority fully supports the work of the BiH Prosecutor's Office and all other judicial bodies and police agencies when it comes to the fight against all forms of corruption within the civil service, the institution announced.

- In that sense, we are at the disposal of all judicial institutions for any additional information within the competence of the UIO that we can provide in the case of today's arrest of Nedim Kulenović, head of the Enforcement Group at the UIO Regional Center in Banja Luka.

At the same time, as soon as we become familiar with all the details in this case, the UIO will initiate all necessary activities in accordance with the Rulebook on disciplinary and material responsibility of employees in the Administration.

Once again, we emphasize that, if responsibility for accepting bribes is eventually established in this case, it is a matter of individual responsibility. Otherwise, in order to fight corruption, the UIO has always, in every statement addressed to the public, called on all citizens and taxpayers to report any information about evasion of customs and VAT or illegal behavior of any official employed in the UIO. We repeat that call on this occasion and note that it can be made free of charge at 080 02 06 07 - they say from the UIO.
