Indirect Tax Authority of BiH expects revenues over 6 billion KM in 2015

The Management Board of the Indirect Taxation Authority (UIO) of BiH adopted the Authority's Work Plan for 2015 at today's 153rd session, focusing on the collection of indirect taxes, VAT refunds control, and improving forced collection from debtors, the UIO BiH announced, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

According to the adopted Work Plan, the projection of indirect tax revenues for 2015 is that the UIO plans to collect gross indirect tax revenues of 6,119,200,000 KM and net revenues of 5,081,200,000 KM in 2015.

The Work Plan states that UIO business processes will be modernized in line with domestic and global trends, and that risk analysis will be established and developed as a prerequisite for successful control implementation, updating and analysis of taxpayer databases where data is used to detect, prevent and prosecute criminal offenses and misdemeanors related to indirect taxes.

It was concluded that the UIO sectors and departments, based on the adopted Work Plan for 2015, will determine their operational work plans with precise deadlines for the implementation of measures, no later than 30 days from the adoption of the Work Plan.

The Management Board approved the UIO's request for next year's budget in the minimum amount of 84.2 million KM at today's session, while the proposed annex regarding capital investments worth around 30 million KM will be considered in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH and the Council of Ministers, which will propose the draft budget for the next year.

At the session, the Management Board was warned that due to the arrangement with the IMF, there are no new hires, unless the Council of Ministers of BiH decides otherwise, which is also defined by the law on the budget of BiH institutions, and it is necessary to keep this provision in mind when planning the budget.

The UIO Management Board did not make a decision today on determining temporary coefficients for the distribution of funds from the single account for the period October-December 2014, in order to re-verify final consumption data. The members of the Management Board from the expert group and employees of the Final Consumption Department have been tasked with verifying this data, after which a proposal for a decision on temporary coefficients for the last quarter of this year will be submitted, reports the BiH news agency Patria.
