UIO BiH Seizes Large Quantity of New Auto Parts Worth BAM 359,300

(Patria) - Authorized officials of the Indirect Taxation Authority (UIO) in the Tuzla Regional Center seized a large quantity of new auto parts worth BAM 359,300.

Based on available information about irregularities in the business operations of a certain individual, authorized UIO officials inspected the movement and origin of goods at two locations and, during the inspection, found and temporarily seized a large quantity of goods of foreign origin for which the legally prescribed documentation was missing.

These included water pumps, brake pads, brake discs, and similar items, totaling 6,511 pieces of various new parts for passenger motor vehicles.

The value of the temporarily seized goods in these operational actions amounts to approximately BAM 359,300.

Legal measures and actions have been taken against the perpetrators of these illegal activities.

During the execution of measures within their jurisdiction, authorized UIO officials utilized specialized equipment donated by the U.S. Embassy in BiH through the EXBS Program, as well as by UNDP/UNODC.
