Several persons arrested in Sarajevo for prostitution and drug trafficking

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After a multi-month investigation by the MUP KS and the Prosecutor's Office of KS, an operation codenamed "City" began early this morning for several criminal offenses. As stated by the spokesperson of the Prosecutor's Office of KS, Azra Bavčić, searches are underway at 11 locations and several persons are being deprived of liberty. 

The persons deprived of liberty are suspected of inducing prostitution, illegal possession of weapons, and drug trafficking. 

Several persons have been brought to the MUP KS, and apartments at several locations have been searched, where money, weapons, several mobile phones, and drugs were found. This is an operation that followed after five months of investigation.

It is still not known how many persons have been deprived of liberty, given that some will have the status of witnesses, not suspects.
