Five members of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior arrested for corruption

(Patria) - Members of the Federal Police Administration arrested five members of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior this morning, Istraga.ba reports. The operation is being conducted by order of the Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office. The members of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior are suspected of corruption. According to our information, it concerns activities related to issuing transport permits.

Searches are underway at the Hadžići Police Station. This operation followed several months of monitoring telephone communications of members of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior who favored businessmen and, in violation of legal provisions, issued them transport permits. In return, they received large sums of money and other services.
