Five suspects arrested for war crimes

Under the order of a prosecutor from the Special Department for War Crimes, who are on the ground coordinating the work of police officers, five suspects have been deprived of liberty in two war crimes cases of the BiH Prosecutor's Office.

In one case, Perišić Božidar Boban, born 01/07/1962 in Rogatica, and Vinko Zoranović Joja, born 11/05/1965, also in Rogatica, were deprived of liberty.

In the second case, the following were deprived of liberty: Dragan Lubarda Lube, born 08/27/1956, Zoran Ilić, born 10/25/1968, and Milisav Ikonić, born 06/25/1959, all from Rogatica.  

The mentioned suspects are under investigation and are suspected of crimes against humanity and war crimes against the civilian population, it was announced from the BiH Prosecutor's Office.  

They are suspected of having committed war crimes against victims of Bosniak nationality from the settlement of Gračanica in Rogatica, as members of the Rogatica Brigade of the VRS, during June and July 1992.

According to the collected evidence, the mentioned suspects committed persecution, murder of at least 15 people (suspect Perišić), rape and sexual abuse of women of Bosniak nationality, unlawful detention, torture, abuse, and other forms of inflicting severe suffering on victims.
