Eight people arrested in Serbia for genocide against Bosniaks in Kravica

Eight people have been arrested for war crimes in Srebrenica, Serbian daily "Blic" reports, as carried by the Bosnian news agency Patria.

They are suspected of committing a war crime against the civilian population at the Kravica site. Among the victims are more than 1,000 civilians of Muslim nationality.

A statement from the War Crimes Prosecutor's Office says that, on the order of the War Crimes Prosecutor's Office, seven people were arrested, and subsequently one more at several locations in Serbia.

- In a professionally executed operation by members of the Serbian Ministry of Interior, seven suspects - N.M, A.G, M.B, A.D, B.M, J.P, D.P and V.V. were brought to the Prosecutor's Office -  the statement reads.

The War Crimes Prosecutor's Office issued an order to conduct an investigation against former members of the "Jahorina" Training Center within the Special Brigade of the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska, on suspicion that they committed a war crime against the civilian population in Srebrenica, at the Kravica site.

The remains of the victims were identified in mass graves at several locations, including Glogova 1 and 2 and Ravnice.

The Prosecutor's Office and the Ministry of Interior are searching for several more individuals believed to be in neighboring countries.
