Petar Galić and Goran Sovilj Arrested for the Murder of Mehmed Harambašić in 1992

Acting on the order of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of the Una-Sana Canton, members of SIPA deprived Petar Galić from Oštra Luka and Goran Sovilj from Prijedor of their liberty due to the existence of reasonable suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of War Crimes against the Civilian Population under Article 142, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the SFRY, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Namely, the suspects are charged with, during the aggression in BiH, as members of the RS Army, on June 1, 1992, in the place of Sanica, Ključ Municipality, taking the life of a civilian of Bosniak nationality, namely Mehmed Harambašić from Sanica.

- After the suspects are interrogated, a motion for detention will be submitted to the Cantonal Court in Bihać - stated the Prosecutor's Office of the USK.
