Arrested at the Border: Albanians Attempted to Illegally Enter BiH from Montenegro

As part of the operational action "Bastion" aimed at suppressing illegal migrations through the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, members of the Trebinje Border Police Unit prevented two citizens of Albania from illegally crossing the state border on March 16, 2015, it was announced by the BiH Border Police, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

- The foreign nationals were discovered in the Lastva border area in the municipality of Trebinje, and they arrived in BiH from the direction of Montenegro. The individuals were deprived of liberty and processed before the Basic Court of Trebinje for committed offenses under the Law on Movement and Stay of Foreigners and Asylum. Upon completion of the misdemeanor proceedings, the citizens of Albania were handed over to the BiH Service for Foreigners' Affairs for further proceedings, along with a Proposal for the expulsion measure from the territory of BiH - it was announced.
