Bakir Dautbašić and Bilsena Šahman Arrested

Acting on the order of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and with a warrant from the Court of BiH, police officers of SIPA deprived of liberty the suspects: Dautbašić Bakir, born in 1968, and Šahman Bilsena, born in 1971, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The deprivation of liberty is the result of a complex operational action carried out under the supervision of a prosecutor by police officers of SIPA within the framework of the case code-named „Lutka 2“.

During the action, evidence was collected that the aforementioned suspects undertook illegal actions and activities to induce a witness to give false testimony in the case of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH against Naser Keljmendi et al., as well as in the case pending before the judicial institutions of Kosovo.

After detailed evidence of the suspects' illegal activities was collected, they were deprived of liberty, and they are suspected of the criminal offense of obstructing the judiciary under Article 241 of the Criminal Code of BiH.

Searches are underway at several locations in Sarajevo, aimed at collecting evidence, conducted by police officers of SIPA in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton. 

The persons deprived of liberty are suspected that during December 2015, through intimidation and promises of undue benefit, they induced a witness with initials A.S. to give false testimony in the criminal proceedings conducted by the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and the Basic Court in Priština against Naser Keljmendi and others for the criminal offense of organized crime in connection with the criminal offense of murder.

The persons deprived of liberty will be brought to the official premises of SIPA where they will undergo criminal investigation, after which, along with a report on the existence of grounds for suspicion of the committed criminal offense and the perpetrators, they will be handed over to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH for further proceedings in the shortest possible time.
