Paid killers of the 'Kavač clan' arrested: Duško Jovanović and Darko Dulović were hiding in a rented apartment in Sarajevo Tower

(Patria) - Paid killers from Serbia, Duško Jovanović Giba and Darko Dulović, were arrested on Sunday in Sarajevo, Istraga.ba has learned.

Jovanović and Dulović were staying in the elite Sarajevo Tower building in the Pofalići neighborhood, where they had previously rented an apartment. They were arrested on an Interpol warrant from Serbia.

Dušan Jovanović Giba, as a paid killer, has been linked to the liquidation of members of the Škaljarski clan. His name was also mentioned during the trial of Veljko Belivuk and Marko Miljković. Witness Bojan Hrvatin testified before the Special Court in Belgrade that Jovanović Giba liquidated Alan Kožar and Damir Hadžić, members of the Škaljarski clan, in Corfu.

“In July, a few days before the assassination in Corfu, Marko Budimir asked me if I wanted to participate in a job for 250,000 euros, along with the Budimir brothers and their two friends. He said there would be some fences to jump over and asked how my arm was, as it had been operated on before. I refused because I couldn't. A few days later, I read in the media about Corfu, and it was later confirmed to me that it was that,” Hrvatin said.

He stated that in September, Dušan Jovanović, whom he knows from the Central Prison, was at the base with Marko Miljković.

“Miljković told me that Dušan Jovanović was one of the executors of Kožar and Hadžić,” Hrvatin testified.

According to reports from the Sky application previously published by Krik, the murders of Alen Kožar and Damir Hadžić were ordered by Radoje Zvicer and Darko Šarić. Although he was supposed to participate in the murder, Veljko Belivuk withdrew from the operation.

„Zvicer sent Miloš Jevrić as a replacement, and Šarić sent Dušan Jovanović. Stefan Andrejić (Šarić's associate) took over the logistical role from Belivuk,” reads the report published by Krik.

Let us remind you that the murdered Alen Kožar was hiding in Sarajevo for a period. In 2019, the paid killer Der Čaba was arrested in Sarajevo, who was planning to kill Alen Kožar.

In addition to Giba Jovanović, Darko Dulović was also arrested in Sarajevo. He was previously tried for the murder of Siniša Milić, a close associate of Luka Bojović. Dulović was on the run during the proceedings. At the end of December last year, the Higher Court in Belgrade acquitted him of responsibility for assisting in the murder of Siniša Milić Boske (45), a friend of Luka Bojović and a member of the “Škaljarski clan,” on June 19, 2018, at Autokomanda.

According to the indictment, Dulović was accused of lending his “Renault Laguna” to an unknown man who used the car in Boske's liquidation. The same car was used by the killer when, on the eve of the crime, he bought a phone at the flea market in New Belgrade, which was then used to remotely activate the explosive placed under Milić's jeep.

Dulović was arrested in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the first time in 2018 and extradited to Montenegro to serve a two-and-a-half-year sentence for heroin trafficking, after which he was released and all traces of him were lost. He is also known to the Serbian police.

Dulović was first arrested in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2018.
