Two people arrested for the murder of Boris Nemtsov

Two people have been arrested for the murder of politician Boris Nemtsov, the Russian Federal Security Service announced, reports the Patria News Agency. 

Alexander Bortnikov, head of the Federal Security Service, said that the suspects come from the Russian region of the North Caucasus and added that the investigation is ongoing, RT reports.

Boris Nemtsov was murdered on February 27 in Moscow when he was shot four times in the back. The murder occurred in the immediate vicinity of the Kremlin, and Nemtsov was in the company of 23-year-old model Anna Duritskaya.

Footage of the murder was released on Sunday by Moscow television station Tsentr. The footage is blurry because it was filmed from a distance. The footage shows Nemtsov and his girlfriend walking across a bridge. At 11:31 PM local time, they were obscured by a snowplow. A moment later, a man, possibly the killer, is seen appearing from behind the snowplow and jumping into a waiting Lada Priora car.

Eight shots were fired from a Makarov pistol, and four hit Boris Nemtsov, who died at the scene.
