Two people arrested on suspicion of setting fire to the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Brčko

(Patria) - After the Brčko District BiH Police were reported last night that an unknown person set fire to the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the premises of the Brčko District Audit Office, police officers went to the scene and took priority measures and actions to determine all circumstances of the event, as well as to identify and find the perpetrator.

Police officers identified two individuals, S.N. born in 2001 in Tuzla and her mother M.N. born in 1966 in Brčko, both residing in Brčko, as indisputably suspected in this event.

The said individuals were brought to the Police premises, and after criminal processing, a request for initiating misdemeanor proceedings will be filed against them with the Brčko District BiH Basic Court, which was verified with the duty prosecutor.

Regarding the event of setting fire to the flag at the premises of the Brčko District BiH Audit Office, criminal processing has excluded the existence of a motive to cause national, religious, or other forms of hatred and intolerance, and the Police will send letters to other actors to take action within their jurisdiction.
