Four people arrested for smuggling weapons from BiH to France

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Croatian police have arrested four people in a joint operation with French colleagues, breaking a chain of arms smuggling from Bosnia and Herzegovina through Croatia to France, the Dubrovnik-Neretva Police Administration announced.

A criminal investigation by the two countries, conducted from September 2021 to March 2022, uncovered a criminal group, and several individuals from Croatia and France were arrested, including the organizers of the smuggling and their accomplices.

"A total of four people aged 51, 35, 42, and 54 were arrested, and five automatic rifles, 12 hand grenades, five automatic rifle magazines, three rounds of 7.62 mm caliber ammunition, and 75 detonators were seized," stated the Dubrovnik-Neretva Police Administration.
