Two men arrested for false bomb threats at the Municipal Court

(Patria) - The Prosecutor's Office of the Sarajevo Canton and the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of the Sarajevo Canton issued a joint statement regarding the arrests for false bomb threats at the Municipal Court in Sarajevo.
"Under the supervision of the acting prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of the Sarajevo Canton, police officers from the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of the Sarajevo Canton deprived two men of their liberty, who are suspected of having falsely reported on multiple occasions in the past period that explosive devices had been placed in the Municipal Court in Sarajevo.

Personal searches and searches of the residential premises used by the suspects were carried out, where items that could be linked to the commission of criminal offenses were found and temporarily seized. After the criminal investigation, the acting prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of the Sarajevo Canton will decide on further measures for the 54-year-old E.Č. and the 49-year-old M.B.

The deprivation of liberty, as well as the investigation of the criminal offenses of Endangering Security and False Reporting, was preceded by an intensive multi-sector investigation by police officers of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of the Sarajevo Canton, under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of the Sarajevo Canton, with the assistance of the Intelligence and Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina," the statement reads.
