Four arrested for robberies in Sarajevo, weapons, masks, drugs found

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Sarajevo police arrested four individuals on Tuesday: J.J., born in 1981 in Sarajevo, A.M., born in 1987 in Sarajevo, E.M., born in 1995 in Srebrenica, and K.K., born in 1981 in Rogatica, on suspicion of committing criminal offenses of robbery, aggravated theft, illegal possession of weapons or explosives, and possession and facilitation of narcotic drug use.

The four individuals have committed several robberies against employees in business premises, as well as aggravated thefts in business premises in the Sarajevo Canton area over the past period.

- At several locations in the Sarajevo Canton, police officers from the IV Police Administration, III Police Administration, and the Criminal Police Sector searched apartments used by the mentioned individuals, as well as a passenger vehicle of the brand "Opel Astra" used by J.J. During the searches, items originating from the commission of criminal offenses, firearms, ammunition, a certain amount of dry herbaceous matter resembling the narcotic drug marijuana, multiple mobile phones, and clothing used during the commission of robberies (so-called "ski masks", gloves, etc.) were found and confiscated - the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton announced.

The prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton was informed, and the detained individuals were handed over to the Unit for Security of Facilities and Detention of Detained Persons of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton. After the completion of the criminal investigation, they will be handed over to the jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office along with an official report on the committed criminal offenses.
