Woman from Banja Luka Arrested for Posing as SIPA and RS MUP Inspector for Four Years

(Patria) - Officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) have reported to the prosecutor's office a woman from Banja Luka, identified as M.B., who is accused of falsely presenting herself as a SIPA inspector in Banja Luka for years.

Namely, SIPA officers submitted a report to the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Banja Luka on a committed criminal offense against M.B., on suspicion of committing the criminal act of false representation.

"During the implementation of measures and actions within the Agency's jurisdiction, evidence was collected that the reported female person, during February 2024, presented herself to officials in public authorities in the area of Banja Luka as an authorized official of the Agency with the intention of favoring third parties in connection with procedures conducted by those public authorities," SIPA stated.

Also, information was gathered that over the past four years, in the area of Banja Luka, she presented herself to an as yet undetermined number of persons from her immediate and wider circle, for currently undetermined reasons, as an authorized official of the Agency, as well as an authorized official of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RS, and that she continues to perform these actions.

"In connection with the above, all natural and legal persons who suspect that the reported female person and/or any other person has falsely presented themselves as an authorized official of the Agency are invited to report this by personally coming to the premises of the Regional Office Banja Luka or via contact phone 051/348-280, with the aim of taking appropriate measures and actions and prosecuting them," SIPA added.
