Škoda driver arrested for ignoring police orders during today's protests, illegal substances found in vehicle

(Patria) - Sarajevo police had their hands full during today's protests, but not with the participants of the protest march, but with an irresponsible driver who ignored a police order to stop on the main road so that the column could pass unhindered.

Several police officers ran up to the reckless driver and ordered him to move off the street onto the sidewalk. During a search of the Škoda vehicle, a bag containing illegal substances was found, and the driver was taken into custody. At that very moment, the column of protest participants was passing by that location on Hamze Hume Street.

This information was confirmed to Patria by Mersiha Novalić, spokesperson for the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton.

Several uniformed police officers, as well as plainclothes officers who were likely monitoring the protests themselves, took part in the entire operation.
