Driver who crashed into police vehicle arrested, two officers slightly injured

(Patria) - Sarajevo police arrested S.M. born (1977) in Goražde, residing in Hadžići, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of Endangering Public Traffic (Article 332, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of FBiH).

Previously, on 10.11.2025, at 8:15 PM at the intersection of Džemala Bijedića street and Kurta Schorka street, in the Ilidža municipality, a traffic accident occurred involving an Audi Q5 vehicle driven by S.M. and an official vehicle of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Internal Affairs Police Directorate, a Golf VIII, driven by police officer D.B.

The investigation was led by the duty prosecutor of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, and was carried out by police officers of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Internal Affairs Police Directorate, with the presence of permanent court experts in traffic and mechanical engineering.

In this traffic accident, police officers D.B. and M.M. sustained minor physical injuries, and after receiving medical assistance at the University Clinical Center Sarajevo (KCUS), they were released for home treatment, while material damage occurred to both vehicles.

During the alcohol test, driver S.M. was found to have 1.65 per mille of alcohol in his body. He was arrested and handed over to the detention facility for detained persons of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Internal Affairs.
