Visoko Resident Arrested for Activating Explosive Device

(Patria) - Police in Visoko have arrested a suspect for activating an explosive device on October 31st at 1:15 AM, in Gornje Rosulje street within a complex of residential buildings in Visoko.

As announced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Zenica-Doboj Canton, immediately after the report, Visoko police officers arrived at the scene and, with a swift intervention, arrested A. E. (born 1994) from Visoko, after which he was taken and detained in official premises.

The duty cantonal prosecutor was informed about the incident. The investigation established that the glass on one apartment and the facade of the building at Gornje Rosulje street no. 55 were damaged, as well as seven parked vehicles, while there were no injuries.

Officers interviewed the suspect, and in the village of Paljika, City of Visoko, they searched the house and auxiliary buildings used by A. E. Three more explosive devices, 91 rifle bullets of unknown caliber, and two ammunition magazines containing 30 rifle bullets of unknown caliber were found. The found items were confiscated and will be subject to expert examination.

After the evidence is compiled, the suspect A. E. was handed over to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Zenica-Doboj Canton for further proceedings, along with a report on the committed criminal offenses of causing general danger and illegal possession of weapons or explosive materials.
