Sarajevo resident arrested, cannabis plants and seeds seized

(Patria) - Based on the order of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton yesterday carried out an operation codenamed "Red Bull" during which one person was arrested.

Police officers of the Department for Combating Narcotic Drug Abuse searched the apartment and basement premises in the Centar Sarajevo municipality used by 28-year-old E.A. from Sarajevo.

"During the search, five plants resembling the plant species cannabis sativa, as well as 150 seeds belonging to the same species, a certain amount of dry herbaceous matter resembling the narcotic drug marijuana, a tablet resembling the narcotic drug ecstasy, and other items of interest were found and seized from him," stated the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton.

The suspect is accused of committing the criminal offense of "Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs".

After the criminal investigation is completed, the suspect will be handed over to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton for further proceedings, along with an official report on the committed criminal offense.
