Associate of Nenad Stevandić arrested

(Patria) - The RS MoI has arrested an associate of Nenad Stevandić, it has been confirmed for N1. The statement from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska states that there is suspicion that M.J. has committed the criminal offense of Abuse of Official Position or Authority, and that after the completion of the criminal investigation, they will be handed over to the Republika Srpska Public Prosecutor's Office.

Unofficially, the arrested M. J., who is the driver of Nenad Stevandić, President of United Srpska and a Member of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, is linked to the case being conducted against the former director of the Institute of Public Health of RS, Branislav Zeljković.

"Police officers of the Administration for Organized and Serious Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska today, by order of the District Court in Banja Luka, arrested a person with initials M.J. on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of Abuse of Official Position or Authority from Article 315 in connection with Article 39. Aiding and Abetting of the Criminal Code of Republika Srpska," the RS MoI announced.

The statement from the RS MoI adds that searches are underway at several locations, and upon completion of the criminal investigation, the person will be handed over to the Republika Srpska Public Prosecutor's Office – Special Department for Combating Corruption, Organized and the Most Serious Forms of Economic Crime.
