During the night between Monday and Tuesday at 01:20, the Second Police Station was notified that a fire had broken out at the "Life Style" beauty salon in Bihaćka Street, Novo Sarajevo municipality, and the fire was extinguished by members of the Sarajevo Canton Fire Brigade, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.
No persons were injured in the incident, while material damage occurred to the building. The prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo was informed, and an investigation was carried out by police officers of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior and an authorized court expert of the Fire Protection Department.
The investigation established that the fire was caused by the use of an open flame. Working to shed light on the said criminal offense, police officers found and deprived of liberty D.M., born in 1991 in Sarajevo, where he resides, on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of arson.
