Suspect arrested for setting fire to cars of Hurtić and Jović

(Patria) - Among those arrested in the police operation "Smagler" are individuals suspected of setting fire to the cars of the Director of Railways of Republika Srpska, Slađan Јović, and Member of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Amir Hurtić.

The cars were set on fire in Doboj, and the investigation so far has determined that these are connected criminal offenses. All measures and actions are being taken to establish the circumstances of the event. The District Court in Doboj has extended the pre-trial detention for the arrested individuals for another two months.

"A report on the committed criminal offenses has been submitted to the District Public Prosecutor's Office against these two individuals, and in these cases, investigative actions are continuing to collect traces, information, and evidence that will be used in the criminal proceedings. These two individuals are included in the operational action "Smagler", which was organized by the Directorate for Organized Crime of the police officers of this Police Administration," stated Dragan Sušić, Head of the Crime Sector at the Doboj Police Department.
