Duo who stole a Mercedes worth 100,000 KM arrested

Police officers of the Criminal Police Sector of the Doboj Public Security Center submitted a report to the Doboj District Prosecutor's Office on a criminal offense committed against three persons, D.R., P.B., both from the area of Bijeljina municipality, and J.K., from the area of Banja Luka city, on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of aggravated theft in the area of Derventa, reports the Patria news agency.

On July 20, 2015, D.R. and P.B. stole a passenger vehicle Mercedes worth 100,000 KM from the premises of the company "SANINO" d.o.o. Derventa, in the area of Derventa. They then drove it to Banja Luka, where they handed it over to J.K., with the aim of resale and obtaining unlawful property gain.

Police officers of the Criminal Police Sector of the Doboj Public Security Center, in cooperation with police officers of the Criminal Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska, located and found the said vehicle in the area of Banja Luka, after which it was returned to the owner.

Based on a previously issued search warrant by the Doboj Public Security Center, D.R. was arrested on August 7 by the Border Police at the crossing between Herceg Novi and Trebinje and handed over to the Doboj police. On the same day in the evening hours, in cooperation with police officers of the Trebinje Public Security Center, P.B. was also arrested.

J.K. is at large and a search warrant has been issued for him by the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska, the MUP RS announced.
