Lukavac Public Administration Official Arrested for Arms Trafficking

(Patria) - Investigators of the Criminal Police Sector of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton yesterday, April 28, as part of an investigation ordered by the prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton, arrested an individual identified as A.G. (born 1982) from Lukavac.

The arrested person is a public official at the Lukavac Public Administration, assigned to the position of “Expert Associate for the Implementation of Regulations on Weapons, Traffic of Explosives, and Application of Regulations on Freedom of Access to Information”.

It is suspected that he committed the criminal offenses of “Abuse of Position or Authority under the Criminal Code of the Federation of BiH”, in conjunction with the criminal offenses of “Unauthorized Acquisition, Possession, and Sale of Weapons and Essential Parts of Weapons” and “Unauthorized Acquisition, Possession, and Sale of Ammunition under the Law on Weapons and Ammunition of TK (from 2015) and Article 73 Unauthorized Acquisition, Possession, Holding, Carrying, Trafficking, Repair, Modification or Alteration, and Brokering of Weapons, Essential Parts, and Ammunition under the Law on Weapons and Ammunition of TK (from 2025), in connection with Article 55 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of BiH, Extended Criminal Offense.

A.G. will be handed over to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton for further competent proceedings after criminal processing, along with a report containing evidence.

The acting prosecutor will issue an order to conduct an investigation, question the suspect, and take further measures and actions.
