SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Acting on the order of a prosecutor from the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption, police officers of the BiH Border Police, in the area of Velika Kladuša arrested the suspect S.S., an employee of the BiH Border Police with the rank of inspector.
The suspect is under investigation for the corrupt criminal offense - receiving a gift and other benefits, as defined by Article 217 of the Criminal Code of BiH.
During the investigation, evidence was gathered that the suspect demanded and received money from a person, in order to illegally facilitate the return of a motor vehicle that had been confiscated.
After collecting evidence and information, activities were undertaken to arrest the suspect, who will be handed over to the acting prosecutor within the legal deadline. The prosecutor will question the suspect and decide on further actions in the case, the BiH Prosecutor's Office announced.
