Police officers of the Bosanska Dubica Police Station arrested V.B. (1986) from Banja Luka on March 10/11 as part of a planned operation codenamed „ZORAN NEPOBJEDIVI“, due to reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of „Blackmail“ against V.J. from Bosanska Dubica, the RS Ministry of Interior announced, as reported by the Patria news agency.
Namely, during February of this year, the suspect sent multiple messages to the victim via the social network Facebook, demanding that she bring him 7,000 euros to a pre-arranged location, so that he would not publish a compromising recording of her made in the past period on the social network.
Police officers conducted a criminal investigation of the suspect, during which they determined that he had committed the criminal offense he is charged with.
The duty prosecutor of the Banja Luka District Prosecutor's Office, Prijedor Branch Office, was informed of the undertaken measures and actions, and ordered that the suspect be released from official premises after the criminal investigation, and that a report on the committed criminal offense of „Blackmail“ be submitted to this prosecutor's office in regular proceedings, the statement reads.
