48-year-old from East Sarajevo arrested, suspected of setting fire to a vehicle in Sarajevo

(Patria) - Members of the Novi Grad Police Department yesterday arrested a person identified as M.M. (born 1978) from East Sarajevo on suspicion of causing the ignition of three cars.

The suspect resides in East Old Town, and is charged with committing the criminal offense of Causing General Danger.

He is linked to the incident on 01/31/2026 in Prijedorska Street, when a fire was caused to a "Mercedes" motor vehicle, and two other motor vehicles parked in the immediate vicinity were damaged.

The duty prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton was informed, and the suspect was handed over to the Detention Facilities for Detained Persons of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton.
