37-year-old arrested in Sarajevo, over 20 kg of drugs found

(Patria) - Police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, as part of an operational-tactical action in the fight against drug abuse, arrested 37-year-old S.K. from Sarajevo on suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs (Article 238, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Grand Theft (Article 287 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina).

Under the supervision of the prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton and with a warrant from the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, a personal search and a search of the apartment and passenger vehicles used by S.K. were conducted.

During the search, among other things, the following were found and seized:

- one barrel containing 11 (eleven) PVC packages of a white substance that visually resembles the narcotic drug speed – total gross mass approximately 11.206 kilograms;
- one bag containing 8 (eight) PVC packages of a white substance that visually resembles the narcotic drug speed – total gross mass approximately 8.069 kilograms;
- one PVC bag containing a brown substance that visually resembles the narcotic drug heroin – total gross mass approximately 1.5 kilograms;
- one PVC box containing a dry herbaceous substance that visually resembles the narcotic drug marijuana, packaged in multiple packages – total gross mass approximately 510 grams;
- two PVC small bags containing a white substance that visually resembles the narcotic drug speed;
- one PVC small bag containing a dry herbaceous substance that visually resembles the narcotic drug marijuana;
- several BMW car parts;
- other items of interest to the investigation.

The street value of the seized narcotics is approximately 700,000 KM.

The man was handed over to the Detention Center for Detained Persons of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, where further criminal proceedings will be conducted against him.
