(Patria) - Police officers of the Intervention Police Unit of the Police Support Sector of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton found and at 9:15 PM deprived of liberty a person with initials J. E. (1987) who is suspected of attempted murder of his father.
Today in the afternoon hours, in a family house in the area of Novi Grad Sarajevo municipality, he poured flammable liquid on his father and set him on fire, then left the house. The father sustained life-threatening injuries and was admitted to the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo.
The person deprived of liberty is in the official premises of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton, and a criminal investigation is being conducted against him.
Under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, police officers continue further work on clarifying and documenting all circumstances related to this criminal offense.
