34-year-old from Banja Luka arrested over 'sex for job' affair

A 34-year-old from Banja Luka, identified by initials N.B., has been arrested on suspicion of blackmailing a fellow citizen for sexual favours in exchange for employment, reports the news agency Patria.

He was arrested by members of the Criminal Police Sector of the Banja Luka Public Security Centre (CJB), and is suspected of committing this criminal act on 4 March.

The police, acting on a report from the woman from Banja Luka, in coordination with the District Prosecutor's Office, conducted an investigation, interviewed a number of witnesses, and using technical means, gathered evidence that the suspect demanded sexual favours from her after she called a phone number from an advertisement seeking employment, with a guarantee that she would get a job afterwards.

Upon completion of the case, a report will be submitted to the District Prosecutor's Office in Banja Luka against N.B., the statement said.

As ATV previously reported, an unemployed woman (identity known to the ATV editorial office), after calling a number from an advertisement seeking workers for an info desk, cleaners, salespeople and porters, claims that she was first answered by a woman who boasted about excellent conditions and a salary of 1,200 KM, but that first of all she had to sleep with the boss.

A young man whose girlfriend, while looking for a job, received almost the same offer, also complained about the unpleasant experience. The advertisement sought two women to work at an info centre with a salary of 600 marks.
