31-year-old robber arrested: Stole a safe with money and jewelry from a house in Ilidža

On December 23 at 1:35 PM, the Fourth Police Station was informed that in Dobrinjska Street, Ilidža municipality, an unknown person or persons committed the criminal offense of aggravated burglary into a house owned by K.B. from Sarajevo.

On that occasion, according to the owner's statement, a metal safe containing a larger sum of money in various denominations and silver jewelry was stolen, reports the Patria news agency.

The prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo was informed about the robbery, and an investigation was conducted by police officers of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton.

Working on solving this criminal offense, police officers of the Property Crimes Department of the Police Administration of this Ministry obtained information that K.F., born in 1984 in Bugojno, residing in Sarajevo, could be linked to the commission of the same.

The day after the robbery, K.F. was arrested due to reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of aggravated burglary. Police officers found a bag with a larger sum of money in a devastated building on Vladimira Preloga Street, Novi Grad Sarajevo municipality, which was seized.

Also, in the house used by the arrested person in the Novi Grad Sarajevo municipality, a pistol of the brand “CZ” with three frames and a discarded metal safe were found and confiscated. Work continues on the complete elucidation and documentation of the described criminal offense, and the suspect will, after the completion of the criminal investigation, be handed over along with a report to the competent prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo, the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton announced.
