Zagreb editorial office of UNA television shut down

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After almost a year of operation, the Zagreb editorial office of UNA television has been shut down, Index.hr has learned. About 20 professionals worked there.

To recall, the launch of UNA television was announced at the Weekend Media Festival in Rovinj, and it began at the end of last year. In order for the television to start operating, several companies were founded in Banja Luka, including Una World Network, whose founders were Infinity Media with a 20 percent stake and Foundcenter Investment GmbH with 80 percent.

In March, the Berlin-based company Foundcenter Investment GmbH withdrew from the project. German investors were the majority owners of Una World Network, but now the company Infinity Media Banjaluka, which is associated with the Dodik family, remained as the sole owner, the Capital portal learned at the time.

Well-known names in Croatian television journalism also moved to work at UNA television, including Ivana Paradžiković, Saša Kosanović, and Josip Šarić. Nevena Rendeli also worked there, and they offered jobs to Severina and Mojmire Pastorčić. The two of them refused the offers.

This summer, there was a drastic reduction in the number of employees; out of 80 media professionals, only 20 were retained. Last week, UNA television announced that it had problems with Croatian distributors regarding the inclusion of its program in the offer of their TV platforms.

"Despite duly submitted broadcasting requests and a detailed program concept, Croatian cable distributors have postponed the agreement several times. The last time was in November," UNA Tv announced.
