The President and Director of the Employers' Association of FBiH, Mladen Pandurević and Adnan Smailbegović, and members of the Association's Executive Board held a meeting with the IMF Resident Representative in BiH, Francisco Parodi, and his associates. During the meeting, an analysis of tax burdens on labor was presented, and potential negative consequences of the proposed amendments to the Law on Contributions and the Law on Income Tax were pointed out, the Employers' Association of FBiH announced, reports Patria.
It was emphasized that the Association supports the Reform Agenda, but that the proposed measures do not lead to the relief of the economy, but rather to the detriment of both employers and employees.
IMF Resident Representative in BiH, Francisco Parodi, thanked them for the useful presentation and stated that negotiations with the authorities regarding the two mentioned laws are underway.
The IMF mission is staying in BiH as part of the first review after the approval of a new credit program for BiH worth around one billion KM and the disbursement of the first tranche to the entities.
