Association Pomozi.ba Launched Appeal for Treatment of 14-Year-Old Ammar Skopljak

(Patria) - The Association Pomozi.ba has launched an appeal for Ammar Skopljak to finally overcome the serious health problems he has been facing since the age of four.

This fourteen-year-old has been fighting several different diseases for a very long time, including a very rare and incurable one - Von Willebrand syndrome. There are no patients in BiH with a combination of all of Ammar's conditions and doctors cannot establish an appropriate therapy. Because of this, the Pomozi.ba organization had previously launched an appeal for him to go to Turkey for examinations, however the latest therapies recommended there are not yielding good results. Ammar has constant bleeding that causes many other complications, and he needs surgery. For tests and surgery, he needs a total of 11,450 euros.

His single mother has fought with all her might to provide her son with the necessary funds for treatment, but after many therapies, check-ups and procedures, she is no longer able to provide this on her own.
